Last Game :(

Cielo Families,

This Saturday is the last game for the season. Please be in attendance for the last game. There is a award ceremony at the end of every game. Also, please have patience and a little extra time; especially, for the times there are more than one of our teams playing at once.

Please have the exact change. All monies is due at the time of your player's game. If you have any questions, please let me know.

East vs. West players the flyer will be attached to the email and located under the East vs. West tab. If you have any questions, please ask. This tournament is not like the Desert Cup if this is your first time.

Lastly, please make sure all your contact information is current. You will receive a notice for the new soccer season in January.

Hopefully, you had a great Thanksgiving weekend, full of food and shopping. We are playing this Saturday! YEAH!!!!!!

• Dress in your uniform for pictures.
• Dress warm if it is cold.
• Game times are the same.
• We are still at the Mesa Education Center.
• East vs. West invitations will be coming soon.
• We only have two games left then winter break.

SOCCER CANCELLED

This RARELY happens but the soccer game is CANCELLED for tomorrow. The fields are too flooded to play. See everyone in TWO weeks. The next game will be December 7th. Enjoy your Thanksgiving.

Congratulations Cielo Soccer Stars!  The tournament was a lot of fun and it was a huge success!  I'm proud to announce the final standings of the Fall Desert Cup Tournament:

Argentina - Gold Division - 4th Place
Firebirds - Silver Division - 3rd Place
Blue Dragons - Bronze Division - 3rd Place
Desert Scorpions - Bronze Division - 3rd Place

Our normal GAME schedule resumes tomorrow (Saturday 11/16) at the Mesa Education Center.  I'll see everyone there!!!

Desert Cup Tournament - Saturday Results!

Congratulations Cielo Soccer Stars!  I am so proud of all the teams that participated in the tournament today.  They all did an amazing job, and played their hardest.  Here are the teams that are advancing to the quarter finals, and will play tomorrow:

All the games begin at 9 am and check-in is at 8 am.  Please bring an ID for check-in.  All teams that qualified will get to play at least two games tomorrow.  The 9 am game schedule for the quarter finals is posted below.  Other game times will depend on the outcome of the games.

It's Time for the Desert Cup!

Cielo Families it is TOURNAMENT time! This is a great time over the weekend. Please remember to click on the Desert Cup tab for the updated tournament information.

Since it is tournament, there are NOT any GAMES this weekend. If you are able, please come out and support Cielo players at tournament. The event is open to the public to enjoy the competition. There is not a cost for parking or admission.

Tomorrow we are playing game #2 in Mesa. Please remember to arrive 10 minutes before the game. Also, if your player is playing in the tournament, remember (s)he will need the light blue jersey shirt.  If you have any questions, please let us know.

Remember the snack schedule. If you have not signed up, please click the snack schedule tab and let us know which day you would like to sign up for your player's team. The players really appreciate it.

Let the games begin!!!

This Saturday (10/26) is our first official game day!  The game times/schedules were given out at practice last week, and they are also posted on the "Game Schedule" tab on the blog.  Be sure to check your team's game time, because it may be different from the practice time.  This will be your game time for the rest of the season.  We will be meeting at the Mesa Education Center for the remainder of the season.   A map and directions to the site are also posted on the "Game Schedule" tab.  Here are a few reminders:

-Arrive 10-15 minutes before game time to check in and warm up

-SIGN IN at the our registration table (look for a white canopy)

-Bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and a jacket (it may be chilly in the morning and it will be hot in the afternoon)

Big News and Updates

Last Practice at Cielo this Week (10/19)

We are back to our normal practice location at Cielo Elementary School on Oct. 19th.  This will be our last practice of the season.  The following week, October 26th, we will begin our weekly games at a different site.  We will play our games at the Mesa Education Center, and we'll be there for the remainder of the season.  

Last Day to Sign-Up for Tournament (10/19)

The Fall Desert Cup Tournament is on November 9th and 10th, and it always makes for a fun and exciting weekend.  Any player that is 7-15 years of age is welcome to participate in tournament, but this is the LAST WEEK to sign up.  

-Saturday, November 9th and Sunday, November 10th (teams who qualify will play on Sunday)

-Age: Open to players 7-15 years old

-Players must wear Cielo uniforms for the tournament (inquire at the registration table)

-FEE: $40: Registration Deadline is Saturday, October 19th.

Games Begin Next Week (10/26)

Let the games begin!!!  We will play our first game of the season on October 26th.  All games will be held at our game location, Mesa Education Center, on Saturdays.  Game schedules and information will be handed out tomorrow at practice, and it will also be posted on our blog next week.

My family and I were so surprised at the outpouring of love we received from everyone upon the arrival of our new daughter.  The diapers, wipes, and gift cards were so generous and we are already putting your gifts to good use!  We can't express how grateful we are to be a part of this amazing Cielo soccer family.  Again, thank you for all your love and support.  We truly are blessed.

We would also be remissed if we didn't thank those who put in the extra hours and effort to help out while we were busy taking care of the baby.  Tiffany and Danielle worked all day for the first month to make sure registration and weekly sign-ins went smoothly.  They continued to take care of every needful thing for the past month, just out of the kindness of their hearts.  Tiffany continues to diligently be our point of contact and communication for the blog and email, as well as working the registration table for the older teams.  Danielle spends most of the day at Cielo watching her kids practice, managing the table, and keeping parents informed as they arrive.  We greatly appreciate all they did to help us jump start the season, and what they continue to do all year.

Also, we wanted to express our gratitude for our parent helpers who go out on the field to work with the kids.  The kids love having the parents out there, and I welcome the additional help.  Having the parents out there to run drills, monitor, and co-coach every week makes all the difference.  Thank you for all you do!!!

This Saturday please sign up for snack on the registration table for your child's team. You may also email or text with your preferred dates. I will email or text you back with confirmation.  The players enjoy and need an energy boost after tremendous practices and games.  The current snack schedule is posted on the blog for your review by team.

TOURNAMENT registration deadline is THIS Saturday. Remember the cost is $40 (The payment for the tournament has to be separated from weekly payment for practice). If you have any questions, please ask. This is a FUN time for the players and the parents.

LASTLY......we are at Mirada this Saturday for practice. Mirada is located at 5500 W. Galveston Ave., Chandler, AZ 85224.
