Last Day and Awards

I can't believe it, but it's already here!  Tomorrow we will play our final games and have our awards ceremonies for the fall season. Games will end about five minutes earlier than usual, so we can have time to hand-out awards and certificates. 

Coach Sean will be able to answer any questions regarding State Tournament on Sunday for those that qualified at the Desert Cup Tournament in November.

At the check-in table, we will have information for registering for spring semester.

We are so grateful for the amazing families and support system in our organization.  Thank you for all you do!

Game #5 - GO CIELO!!!

I can't believe this season is almost over!!! We will see everyone at Summit tomorrow at their regular game times.  Make sure to bring water and warm clothing.

We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend, and got lots of rest!  We will finish the season strong with the last three games!!! Games resume tomorrow at Summit Academy with normal game times!  The weather is really cooling down, so dress accordingly!

Desert Cup Tournament - Nov. 17-18

The Desert Cup Tournament is just days away!  The tournament is at Scottsdale Sports Complex, and the directions are on the schedule.  Below is the current tournament roster.  Depending on numbers, your child may be playing for under a different team name.  Please check below, so you know with which team they'll be playing. If your child did not register for tournament, there are no regularly scheduled games this weekend.  Let us know if you have any questions!

Players AGES 9 and older are REQUIRED to show proof of age - Birth Certificate or some form of ID listing Date of Birth - at the time of check-in on both days of the Tournament.

Game #3 - 11/10/18

Tomorrow is Game #3 at Summit Academy!  We are excited to see everyone there tomorrow!   We will not be back at Summit until December first.  Here are the upcoming dates:

Game #2 is tomorrow and we are looking forward to some cooler November weather!!!  Game times will remain the same for the rest of the season (see previous post), and we will be at Summit Academy.  Please look for us in our white tent and sign in every week.

Last Practice Tomorrow 10/20

Cielo Soccer Stars!  It's hard to believe, but our last practice is tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 20th at Cielo Elementary! Game schedules and details will be given out tomorrow, so make sure to be there! This is such an exciting part of the season. 

Happy Fall Break - No Practice this Week - 10/13

We will be officially off this week, October 13th, for fall break.  Please make sure to have fun, be safe, and keep practicing and getting some touch on the ball while we are off.  We look forward to seeing everyone back at Cielo on October 20th.

Practice at Summit Tomorrow 10/6

We are back on tour for practices this week.  Even though we are just practicing, we will be at our game site, Summit Academy tomorrow. I will be at our business launch on Saturday, so I won't be at the fields, but I'll be there in spirit!  Marissa and Deryle will be there to help check-in and answer questions.  If you need to contact me, I'll be available by email.  I won't be able to check it often, so please be patient with me.  If it's urgent, Sean or Marissa can get you my contact info. :)

Practice at Kyrene de los Ninos - Saturday 9/22

Last Day Awards & ALL Teams at Summit

State Finals were amazing!  The teams played their hearts out!  We had four teams take second place, and Argentina pulled out a State Final victory!  All the championship games were nail-biters, and they all brought their A-Game!  Way to go!!!

Tomorrow is our last day of soccer for the Spring 2018 season!  All teams will be playing against another Cielo team for a friendly last match.  We will end a few minutes early to hand out awards and prizes.

State Finals - Sunday, May 5th

Tomorrow is the State Finals for all qualifying teams from last week's Desert Cup Tournament.  Please arrive one hour before your child's game to register and pay ($20).  State Finals is single elimination , and there's a two game minimum.

Back at Summit and Picture Day!

Picture Day

Come tomorrow wearing your SOCCER BEST!  ActivStars will have a photographer on site tomorrow that will be taking individual and sibling/buddy pictures of your amazing athletes!  It's a great way to remember the season.  They will have a variety of options and packages, so stop by the photo table after you check-in tomorrow.  You can get pictures before or after your game.

If your child plays at Palo Verde Park (11-15 year olds), they photographer will NOT be taking photos there.  Please bring your child to Summit during our earlier game times, if you would like to get photos of your child.

Last Practice this Saturday 3/17

As we spoke at our last practice, we were finally able to get approval for one last practice before games.  As par for the course this season, we are at different location.  Luckily, we will be practicing at Palo Verde Park in Mesa, which is very close to our game site.  Since we just got approval, we don't have any official notifications, so please help us spread the word! 

Palo Verde Park is on the east side of Dobson Road just north of the canal.  You should be able to see our white tent from the road.  Again, spread the word! We look forward to seeing you at your regular practice time on Saturday.  Be sure to stop by the tent to sign-in.

Practice Moved to Mirada Elementary This Week - March 3rd

Thanks to a very astute parent, we found out that our practice had been moved to Mirada Elementary School this week.  After hearing about the Cielo carnival, I contacted the ActivStars office to find that they moved our practice site for this week.  We weren't given a reminder slip, but they did send out an email earlier this week after the reminder.  We apologize for the inconvenience.  There's nothing we can do about the move, and we appreciate your flexibility.

Practice #4 - Back at Cielo & Clinic on Sunday

We are back at Cielo tomorrow.  Thank you so much for being so flexible with our change of venue last week.  We will be back at our normal practice location, and be prepared for what the weather may have in store.

Also, the soccer Clinic is this Sunday, Feb. 24th.  If you didn't get a flyer the last two weeks, we will still have more tomorrow.  It's a great event, so hopefully you can make it!  No need to pre-register, you will just register and pay for your child when you arrive at the clinic.
