Desert Cup Tournament This Weekend - April 28-29

For those of you registered for tournament, the teams, schedule and reminder are posted below.  If your child is not playing in tournament, there are no regular season games this week. Please let us know if there are any questions.  

Spring Desert Cup Tournament Reminders:

• There are no regular season games the weekend of the tournament Saturday.  If you child has not preregistered for tournament, you have the weekend off.
• Each team is schedule to play 3 games .  Those that qualify will advance to the State Tournament.  Qualifying teams will be notified at the following regular season game on May 5th.
• Players 9 and older must bring proof of age: (ie. student ID, state ID, birth certificate, passport, etc.)
• ALL players must wear an ActivStars jersey (old YCOA logo is fine as well) - official uniform shorts are not required
• Tournament Checklist:  *items you may want to bring
• Proof of age (9 years and older)
• ActivStars jersey
• Cleats
• Shin guards
• Soccer ball
• Water (plenty)
• Layers - depending on weather
• Sunscreen 
• Healthy snacks
• *Lunch / money for vendors
• *Chairs
• *Shade
• *Blankets
• *Camera

Game #4 and the Spring Desert Cup Tournament

Spring has sprung and the weather is heating up!  Game #4 is already upon us!  It's hard to believe how quickly this season has flown by!  We will see everyone at Summit tomorrow, so come ready to play!  If your child is playing in tournament, we will see you at Scottsdale Sports Complex next weekend, Saturday and Sunday, April 28-29th.

The Desert Cup Tournament is the season's premier event, and we look forward to it every year. The tournament schedule and rosters will be posted soon.  Instructions and reminders have been announced for the past two weeks, but here are the highlights:

Here is the breakdown for the divisions that are playing on each day:


Saturday, April 28th

• 5/6 Silver - Cheetah Dragons
• 7/8 Gold - Phoenix Rising
• 9/10 Gold - Phoenix & Sky High
• 11/12 Silver - Argentina White & Blue

Sunday, April 29th

• 7/8 Silver - Tsunamis & Lightning
• 9/10 Silver - Falcons
• 13/15 - All-Stars

The official tournament schedule with teams and game times will be at the check-in table on Saturday.

Game #3 - Bring on the Heat! - Argentina Game Time

The heat is coming, whether we are ready or not!  Be prepared with plenty of water, snacks, shade and sunscreen.  Game #3 is tomorrow at Summit, so come ready to play!

Back at Summit and Picture Day!

Picture Day

Come tomorrow wearing your SOCCER BEST!  ActivStars will have a photographer on site tomorrow that will be taking individual and sibling/buddy pictures of your amazing athletes!  It's a great way to remember the season.  They will have a variety of options and packages, so stop by the photo table after you check-in tomorrow.  You can get pictures before or after your game.

If your child plays at Palo Verde Park (11-15 year olds), they photographer will NOT be taking photos there.  Please bring your child to Summit during our earlier game times, if you would like to get photos of your child.

Spring Desert Cup Tournament 2018

If your child is interested in playing in our semi-annual soccer tournament, the registration deadline is Saturday, April 7th.  The quickest way to register is online (see below), but you can register onsite if needed.
