Let the Games Begin & Desert Cup Tournament Registration

It's game time!  We have our first game on Saturday, and this is what we've been preparing for all season!  Come dressed and ready to play, and be sure to arrive at least 10 minutes before game time.  That will give you time to sign-in, find your assigned field, and warm-up before the game.  It is such an exciting part of the season!

Tournament DETAILS

EVENT DATE: Saturday, Nov. 16 & Sunday, Nov. 17, 2019

LOCATION: Scottsdale Sports Complex. 8081 E. Princess Drive, Scottsdale AZ 85255

COST: 
$40 Registration Fee per player (Pre-registration deadline is Oct. 26th)

$60 Late or day of registration fee (after pre-reg deadline, Oct. 26th) 

– There will be NO regular season games held on  Saturday, November 16, due to the Desert Cup Tournament

– Tournament is OPEN to ALL age groups; 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12 and 13-15.

Participant Requirements:

For event consistency the ACTIVSTARS Team Soccer Jersey will be required for the Tournament.  No other team jerseys will be permitted; those in violation will be required to change or cannot participate. 

ALL participants are also required to wear shin guards and proper athletic footwear.  Cleats are not required but if worn must be soccer cleats specifically, no front stud-like football and baseball cleats.  Safety is always our #1 concern!

Soccer Clinic: Mni-Cone Challenge - TODAY, Oct. 20th

Come join us for the amazing Soccer Clinic: Mini-Cone Challenge! The event will consist of a short session of drills to refine ball handling and field awareness.  Following short drill session, players will be randomly divided into small sided teams and compete in a winner take all, small sided Mini Cone Tournament!

The Tournament will be knock-out style with each team receiving at least 2 games.

Winning teams will take home the MINI CONE!

Special Package Pricing for uniforms is ONLY available at this event; the package pricing will NOT be offered or given at regular practices.

During the camp, athletes will spend the day with a group of highly experienced camp counselors (coaches) from various soccer locations to provide the players with a variety of learning models.

Participant Requirements:

DRESS:  Students should wear comfortable athletic clothing (no jeans etc.), proper footwear and shin pads (required for this event).  

What to Bring:ALL STUDENTS MUST bring their SOCCER BALL to this event!  Since we will be outside, students should  also bring a water bottle with their name CLEARLY labeled on it!

8:00 - 9:00 a.m.  - Registration & Uniform Sales

9:05 - 9:30 a.m. - Event Groups Formed on Field

9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.  Mini Cone

12:00 p.m. - Parent Pick-Up/Dismissal from fields

TIME #2 ALL Students Ages 9-15

12:30 - 1:30 p.m.  - Registration & Uniform Sales

1:35 - 2:00 p.m. - Event Groups Formed on Field

2:00 - 4:30 p.m. - Mini Cone

4:30 p.m. - Parent Pick-Up/Dismissal from fields

Practice at Mirada - 10/19/2019

As announced last week, practice is at Mirada Elementary tomorrow. We have been there a couple times this season, so it's familiar territory.  This is our last practice before games, so let's make it count!  Game schedules will be available at practice tomorrow.  See you at Mirada!

Practice at Summit Academy 10/5

We are continuing our East Valley tour of locations at Summit Academy tomorrow (10/5).  For those that have played with us in the past, it is our normal game location.  We will be practicing on the football field of Summit, and it shares a parking lot with Desert Oasis Aquatic Center.  We are excited to see you all tomorrow!
